BAIL BONDS

If you’ve ever had a loved one in jail, then you know the feeling of wanting nothing more than to get your friend or family member back home. Unfortunately for many people, they are unable to afford what is known as the cash bail amount for their release. The bail amount is what must be paid for someone charged with a crime to leave jail and stay at their home until the resolution of their court case. Once the case is complete, they will receive their cash bail back- less any court fines, fees, or restitution.

This is where we come in. Many people are unable to afford the full cash bail amount. Goldberg can post a bail bond in place of the cash bail. Goldberg charges 10% of the bail, as is required by law. In this case, the 10% is a fee for service and is non-refundable. The benefit being you do not have to come up with the full cash bail amount–which the courts would hold until the case is resolved.

How does a bail bond work?

A Bail Bond is formally known as a Surety Bond. A friend, relative, attorney, or even the defendant will contact Goldberg Bail Bond Company. We will collect basic information about the situation. This information ranges from where the person is held, how long they have been in custody, and what charges they are facing – we’ll connect you with a Goldberg Bail Agent in the correct county.

To get out of jail, a co-signer is usually required. When you co-sign for a person, you agree to ensure the defendant appears at all of their court appearances. Court cases last until the resolution of the case.

You will pay a fee for the bond – 10% by law. This is known as a premium. Once paid, we post a bail bond for the full bail amount with the courts. If you do not have the full 10%, Goldberg offers flexible payment options.

For over a century, Goldberg Bail Bonds has been the top company in Minnesota and Iowa to help you when you need it most. Through our extensive network of licensed agents, we can quickly and efficiently arrange bail in any jail. With agents throughout both states, you can speak to us 24 hours a day – even on weekends and holidays.

“Very helpful organization. These are the people to call when you are in a jam. They also let you know if you have a warrant or not, and they have been known to return your call. I would recommend them.”
