Question and Answer with our Dakota County Agent
Q: Where is the best place to eat before court?
A: Emily’s Bakery + Deli—I used to work there and I go there all the time to get the Wild Rice Soup… Yum!
Q: Hidden Gem near to the courthouse?
A: We’re actually water-locked; go tubing down the river, or visit the historic architecture in town.
Q: How close do you live to the jail?
A: 10 minutes away no matter where I am; my whole family is in Hastings.
Q: What’s the average release time for defendants?
A: Two to five hours, it really depends on the jail.
Q: Do you have any tips for clients in court in Dakota County?
A: Court starts 30 minutes early, they do not allow cell phones, or bondsmen inside the court—they do not mess around in Dakota.
Q: What is your favorite part of bail bonds?
A: It’s a split between: meeting new people, helping families, and normalizing a really difficult experience for our clients.
